Welcome to Second Bite! My name is Emma and I run the shop. All products are designed and made by me.

The name Second Bite comes from the saying “second bite at the cherry” which means a second opportunity to do something. I use secondhand textiles in my products, essentially giving them a “second chance.”

I started Second Bite out of combined interests of reducing textile waste and creating unique accessories that bring joy to those wearing them.

Some of my sustainable practices:

• Textiles bought secondhand and mostly from my local creative reuse centers

• When possible, I also get envelopes, stationary, office supplies, tools, etc. secondhand

• Products made in small batches

• Products are designed to last

• Shipping and packaging materials are recyclable &/or reusable

I’m always interested in more sustainable practices to implement in my business and would love any feedback. My main goal is to be transparent and work to better my business.
